Emergency Relief Grant

What is the Emergency Shelter Relief Grant?

The Emergency Shelter Relief Grant provides financial assistance to needy persons whose homes have been severely affected by fire, natural disasters such as flooding, landslides, hurricanes or earthquakes.

How does it work?

  • Completed application form and other relevant documents are submitted to the Ministry of Housing and the Environment.
  • Application is assessed and reviewed.
  • Approved applicants will be issued a cheque for the approved amount.

Who Can Apply?

Needy persons 18 years and over whose homes have been severely affected by fire and other natural disasters and whose annual household income does not exceed $36,000.00.
