About UDeCOTT
UDeCOTT is a limited liability company registered under the Companies Ordinance (Ch. 13 No. 1) which was incorporated in 1994 with the following key objectives:
- To develop the capital city, Port of Spain, as a business and financial centre;
- To regenerate the city of San Fernando as the energy centre of the country;
- To develop 13 major urban centres identified in the National Physical Development Plan;
- To assist in providing affordable housing and desirable communities for all Trinidadians and Tobagonians.
While UDeCOTT has a reporting relationship to the Ministry of Housing and the Environment, it is a private company which is wholly-owned by Government and also reports to the Corporation Sole, the Minister of Finance.
